Child Safe Guarding Statement - Pupil Version
The Student Council learned about how our school keeps children safe. They talked about the child-friendly Child Safeguarding Statement and learned what the safeguarding poster means. They learned who they can talk to if they ever feel worried or unsafe, and the roles of the Designated Liaison Person (DLP) and Deputy Designated Liaison Person (DDLP). The Student Council then visited each classroom to explain the poster, who Ms Moffett (DLP) and Ms Heaslip (DDLP) are, where the poster will be displayed, and why it is important. The poster reminds pupils that they can always talk to a trusted adult and that everyone in our school works together to keep children safe.
